Job Title: Radiation/Cancer Center Nurse

Location: St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA
Position Purpose
The Radiation/Cancer Center Nurse Identifies the nursing care needs and evaluates the effectiveness of the plan of care for adult and geriatric radiation therapy patients.

Job Title: Radiation/Cancer Center Nurse

Position Purpose
The Radiation/Cancer Center Nurse Identifies the nursing care needs and evaluates the effectiveness of the plan of care for adult and geriatric radiation therapy patients.
As a Radiation/Cancer Center Nurse You Will
- Provides professional nursing care by conducting an initial and ongoing nursing assessment, identifying physical, psychosocial and educational needs to patient’s ongoing radiation treatment.
- Provides nursing assistance to the Radiation Oncologist in pre-treatment patient consultation and follow-up exams/visits.
- Instructs patients and significant others regarding treatment related side effects, self-care responsibility therapy procedures, weekly assessments and follow-up care.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s in Nursing preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse license by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing or Compact State required.
- 2-4 years related clinical experience in oncology.
- BLS & ACLS certifications.
- OCN certification preferred.
