$40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience.

Overview

United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse, Pediatrics to join our team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. The Pediatric team is a cohesive, team oriented group. Each nurse cares for up to 6 patients at a time. The team is passionate about making the stay as comfortable as possible for the patient and the family!

Schedule: 12 hour shifts; every 3rd weekend

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and admitting patients
  • Keeping a close eye on vital signs and responding when needed
  • Collaborating with our healthcare crew to provide exceptional patient care
  • Administering medications as provided by Physician and providing patient and family education

Qualifications:

  • A valid RN license
  • Pediatric experience
  • Med Surg experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

  • A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
  • Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

  • Current NYS RN License

Preferred:

  • Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
  • Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
