Summary:

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care that is guided by the American Nurses Association (ANA) scope of practice. A Registered Nurse collaborates with patients, family/significant others, peers, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the delivery of healthcare services to patients. The Registered Nurse assesses the patient's needs, care plans, implements, and evaluates the medical and nursing regimens in accordance with the hospital and nursing philosophy, policies/procedures, and standards. They demonstrate leadership skills and commitment to professional accountability and growth.

Program/position description:

A PD (per diem) float pool RN (Registered Nurse) works on a flexible, as-needed basis to cover shifts at multiple locations within the Nuvance Health system, including Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Northern Dutchess Hospital, and other emergency departments. This role helps meet staffing requirements while offering an elevated pay rate due to the flexibility and varied work locations.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Level Degree (required) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• License, Registration, or Certification Requirements:
• Current and unobstructed New York State Registered Nurse (NY Hospitals)
• American Nurses Association endorsed Certifications or Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses Certification Preferred
• Requires 2 years of emergency medicine experience
